According to ABIMAQ, the Brazilian Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers’ Association, the sector recorded lower activity in August 2025, reflecting both domestic deceleration and external export pressures.

Net sales revenues in August reached BRL 26.5 billion (USD 4.93 billion) — a 5.6% decline year on year. Sales fell across most segments:

  • Consumer goods machinery: -9.2%

  • Infrastructure: -6.1%

  • Agriculture: -7.9%

  • Logistics and civil construction: -23.3%
Only component sales recorded growth, rising 8.7%.

Domestic sales dropped 13.2% to BRL 19.7 billion, while exports surged 33.6% to USD 1.26 billion, boosted mainly by shipments to Argentina.

For January–August 2025, total net revenues reached BRL 200.8 billion, 10.6% higher than the same period last year.
