According to Acero Argentino, the steel association of Argentina, crude steel production in June amounted to 463,600 metric tons, surpassing the 446,900 metric tons produced in May.

In terms of specific steel products, HRC (Hot Rolled Coil) production experienced a significant increase of 22.5 percent, reaching 220,600 metric tons. Conversely, the production of CRC (Cold Rolled Coil) decreased by 2.6 percent to 96,900 metric tons, while the production of long products rose by 13.4 percent to 217,700 metric tons.

Acero Argentino stated that the primary contributors to steel demand in June were the agriculture machinery sector, the automotive industry, the energy sector, and domestic appliances.

Meanwhile, the civil construction sector is displaying initial signs of deceleration while still maintaining a high level of activity.

The association highlighted the ongoing challenges in importing raw materials not produced within the country due to Argentina's financial crisis. This crisis is characterized by a scarcity of foreign currencies and a persistently high inflation rate.
