In accordance with the Long-Term Agreement (LTA) that was inked last year with ExxonMobil Guyana, Vallourec has acquired a third significant order.

According to the agreement, Vallourec will provide line-pipe for the deep-water Uaru project of ExxonMobil Guyana. The Stabroek Block, a 26,800 km2 key basin off Guyana's continental shelf, is where the Uaru project is situated. Since 2015, significant discoveries have been found there.

A total of 35,000 tons of line-pipe, including 2,000 tons of X80, a novel and special substance created and certified by Vallourec's R&D teams, will be delivered by the firm. Future advances in deeper water will be significantly facilitated by the X80's ability to combine high strength with resilience to service conditions.

The Uaru order strengthens Vallourec's strategic supplier relationship with ExxonMobil Guyana in addition to the orders for Yellowtail and Gas-to-Energy that were also signed under the same LTA. This relationship is supported by a sizable backlog of line-pipe orders totaling about 90,000 tons (or 520 km of line pipe) that have been reserved since December 2021.

From its Jeceaba, Minas Gerais, facility, which combines substantial production capacity and top-notch capabilities, Vallourec will service ExxonMobil Guyana.

The agreement is dependent on ExxonMobil Guyana obtaining all required project clearances from the Guyanan government.

A worldwide manufacturer with its headquarters in Meudon, France, is Vallourec S.A. The energy, construction, automotive, and mechanical sectors are served by Vallourec, which specializes in hot-rolled seamless steel tubes, expandable tubular technology, automotive components, and stainless steel.
