On November 18, 2021, the Trade Remedies Administration received information that the US Department of Commerce (DOC) had received an application from the domestic industry requesting an investigation into evasion of anti-dumping duties for Vietnam's corrosion resistant steel products (CORE) made from cold rolled steel (CRS) and hot rolled steel (HRS) imported from Japan.

SDI will not issue a different decision or receive reconsideration requests from interested parties. On December 21, 2021, announced that it would not conduct an investigation requested by SDI about CORE coated steel products originating from HCR, CRC from Japan and Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MNC) from Japan.

On April 8, 2019, India officially announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation of aluminum and zinc products originating from Vietnam, China and South Korea. In this case, the Indian investigation agency believes that Vietnam still has market-distorting price interference, so Vietnamese manufacturers/exporters need to provide more information on the steel industry and the government policy for India to consider.

The Indian Ministry of Finance issued Decision No. 7/2022-Customs (ADD) on February 1, 2022, revoked the order to impose anti-dumping duties on a number of zinc-aluminum alloy coated steel products originating or imported from Vietnam, Korea, and China, according to information from the Trade Remedies Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade). At a competitive level, the current anti-dumping duty rate applies to Viet Nam Steel by Hoa Sen Group products.
