China will announce regulations that will prohibit new steel, coking, oil refining, cement, and glass projects in important regions. This is one of the important decisions that will help the nation combat pollution and achieve its climate goals.

China is going to step up efforts to create a zoning system to manage environmental risks and take steps to reduce heavy industry in already polluted areas, river basins, and urban areas. China will also step up its efforts to control the risks and issues associated with environmental pollution from heavy industries in river basins and urban areas.

China will also make sure that by 2030, new energy vehicles will make up about half of all auto sales. In the upcoming years, China also places a high priority on the development of biomass, geothermal, and solar energy for heating. By 2030, China seeks to solve carbon dioxide emissions as well as air and water pollution.

Additionally, the plan calls for expanding the use of carbon capture and storage, speeding up the switch to alternative fuels for cement production, and raising recycling rates for steel and aluminum.
