The UK’s Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) has initiated an expiry review of antidumping (AD) duties on welded tubes and pipes imported from China and Belarus.

The review was launched at the request of Tata Steel UK Limited and will assess whether ending the existing measures would lead to a continuation of dumped imports and renewed injury to the UK industry.

Review covers imports and injury over multiple periods

The investigation examines imports during the period from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025, while injury to the domestic industry will be assessed over a longer timeframe from October 1, 2021, to September 30, 2025.

The current antidumping duty rates stand at 38.1 percent for Belarus and 90.6 percent for China.

Products under review

The products subject to the expiry review fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers:

7306 3041 20, 7306 3049 20, 7306 3072 80, and 7306 3077 80.

The TRA will determine whether maintaining the duties remains necessary to prevent further market distortion and economic harm to UK producers.
