The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has released the preliminary results of its administrative review of the anti-dumping duty order on heavy-walled rectangular pipe and tube (HWRPT) imports from Mexico.
The review covers the period September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2024.
According to the DOC, the investigation found that Mexican exporters sold the products in the US market at prices below normal value during the review period.
The department has assigned the following estimated weighted-average dumping margins:

7.42% for Productos Laminados de Monterrey S.A. de C.V.

31.23% for Forza Steel S.A. de C.V.

16.81% for other Mexican exporters
In addition, the DOC stated that it has partially rescinded the review for 12 companies after determining that no reviewable shipments of the subject products were made during the review period.
The findings are part of the ongoing enforcement of US trade remedies aimed at addressing unfair pricing practices in steel imports.
