The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the final results of its administrative review of the countervailing duty (CVD) order on rebar imports from Algeria.
The review found that countervailable subsidies were provided to Algerian producers and exporters during the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024.
As a result, the DOC assigned a final subsidy rate of 72.94% to Tosyali Iron Steel Industry Algeria SPA and all other Algerian exporters, unchanged from the preliminary findings.
In a separate case, the DOC had also previously determined an estimated antidumping margin of 127.32% on Algerian rebar products for the investigation period from April 1, 2024, through March 31, 2025.
The decision could further tighten US trade measures on imported rebar products.
