Australia’s Anti-Dumping Commission has confirmed that antidumping duties on rebar imports from South Korea and Spain will remain in force, following a full review triggered by domestic producer InfraBuild.

The investigation (Oct 2023–Sep 2024) found that removing the measures would likely lead to renewed dumping and material injury to Australian producers.

Revised duties recommended by the Commission include:

South Korea

  • Daehan Steel: 2.3% (previously 4.7%)

  • Dongkuk Steel Mill: Floor price (unchanged)

  • Other exporters: 12.0% (up from 8.5%)

Spain

  • Compañía Española de Laminación (CELSA): 12.4% (up from 9.4%)

  • Other exporters (except Nervacero): 15.0% (up from 11.8%)

The reviewed products cover rebar up to 50 mm diameter, falling under tariff codes including 7213.10.00.42, 7214.20.00.47, 7227.90.10.69, 7227.90.90.01, and others.
