Australia’s Anti-Dumping Commission has initiated a review into the continuation of existing antidumping measures on aluminum-zinc (Al-Zn) coated steel with a width of 600 mm or more imported from South Korea and Vietnam. The measures are currently scheduled to expire on December 24, 2026.

The inquiry was launched following an application submitted on January 16, 2026 by domestic producer BlueScope Steel Limited (BSL). The commission will examine the period from January 1 to December 31, 2025 to assess whether dumping has continued and whether circumstances affecting duty calculations have changed.

BSL argued that dumped imports would likely increase if the measures were allowed to lapse. Current dumping margins range from 2.6–10.5 percent for South Korean exporters and 8.1–20.9 percent for Vietnamese exporters, depending on the producer.
The products under review fall under HS codes 7210.61.00 and 7225.99.00.
