FOR ITS JAMSHEDPUR ROLLING MILL, TATA STEEL LONG PRODUCTS PURCHASES REDUCTION AND SIZING BLOCKS

Tata Steel Long Products Limited has requested a delivery of an RSB 370++/4(5) in 5.0 design from Friedrich KOCKS GmbH & Co. KG. The business's new rolling mill complex in Jamshedpur, India will include the Reducing & Sizing Block.

One of the major steel producers in the world is Tata Steel Group. With activities and a global commercial presence, it is one of the most geographically diverse steel manufacturers in the world. High-alloy, value-added steel is produced by the company's subsidiary Tata Steel Long Products (TSLP) for use in a variety of industrial applications. TSLP uses the KOCKS 3-roll technology in their new special bar quality (SBQ) rolling mill.

The new RSB 370++/4(5) will be installed as a finishing unit in a 500.000t/a combination SBQ and wire rod mill, after a reversing mill and 12 stands in a H/V arrangement. It will create feeders for the wire rod line with finished dimensions of 5 to 27 mm and straight bars with a dimension range of 20 to 90 mm onto the cooling bed. The roll-equipment shop's is also included in the area of delivery. The first quarter of 2024 is when the RSB is expected to be put into operation.
