IMPORTS OF STEEL INTO VIETNAM DECREASED BY 1.7% IN DECEMBER COMPARED TO NOVEMBER

According to statistics released by Vietnam's General Department of Customs, the country imported 946,716 mt of steel in December of last year, down 1.7% from November, while 206,380 mt of scrap was imported, down 17.9% from month to month.


Vietnam imported 11.68 million mt of steel over the whole year, down 5.6 percent from the previous year, while it imported 4.16 million mt of scrap, down 34.2 percent from the previous year.
