INDIA'S METAL COMPANY POSTS 12 PCT NET PROFIT GROWTH IN Q4 FISCAL YEAR 2022

Shyam Metalics and Energy reported a 12 percent increase in consolidated net profit to INR 433.2 crore (USD 56 million) in Q4 FY22 ended March 31, 2022, on a 22 percent increase in net sales to INR 2,856.8 (USD 368.5 million).

Sales of ferro products increased by 41 percent year over year, while sales of sponge iron increased by 37 percent, billets increased by 30 percent, and finished steel products increased by 28 percent. Iron ore pellet sales, on the other hand, were down 9 percent year over year.

Shyam Metalics and Energy is an Indian integrated metal producer that specializes in long steel products and ferro alloys. It is one of India's largest producers of ferro alloys.
