India’s state-owned mining company NMDC Limited has increased the prices of iron ore lumps and fines with immediate effect, according to company sources on March 6.

The price of iron ore lumps (67% Fe, 10–40 mm) has been raised by INR 100 per metric ton to INR 5,350/mt (approximately $58.30/mt) ex-pithead.

Meanwhile, the price of iron ore fines (64% Fe and below 10 mm) has been increased by INR 50/mt to INR 4,050/mt (around $44.13/mt) ex-pithead.

The company noted that all quoted prices exclude statutory charges, including the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) levy, National Mineral Exploration Trust (DMET) cess, and forest permit fees.

The price adjustment reflects ongoing changes in domestic market conditions within India’s iron ore sector.
