ITALIAN PLANTMAKER ANNOUNCES €200 MILLION INVESTMENT IN GREEN STEEL

Danieli announced that its steelmaking division Acciaierie Bertoli Safau, in collaboration with its Croatian subsidiary ABS Sisak, will spend €200 million in green steel manufacturing in Croatia.

The funds will be used to modernize ABS Sisak's steel melting process as well as the development of a new, modern rolling mill. According to Danieli, it will be a fully digitalized factory that will increase energy efficiency and carbon savings.

With the introduction of Q-One, which was designed and tested in the Sisak facility two years ago, the modernization process began.
