Pakistan’s National Tariff Commission has decided to continue antidumping duties on steel billet imports from China following its second sunset review.
The authority confirmed a 24.04% antidumping duty, which will remain in force for five more years starting June 22, 2025.
The original duty was first imposed in 2017 and previously reviewed in 2022.
Certain Exemptions Apply
Imports may be exempt if used for:
- Export-oriented manufacturing
- Foreign grant-in-aid development projects
The decision covers multiple tariff classifications under Pakistan Customs rules and is aimed at protecting domestic billet producers from unfairly priced imports.
