PIPES FROM CORINTH WILL BE USED IN AN UNDERSEA GAS OPERATION IN THE NORTH SEA

ONE-Dyas B.V. has given Corinth Pipeworks a contract to supply High Frequency Welded (HFW) steel pipes for the North Sea-based N05-A platform.

The biggest privately held exploration and production operating company in the Netherlands is ONE-Dyas B.V.

This offshore gas production project will actively contribute to the energy transition and the accomplishment of the Climate Agreement because it will be entirely powered by renewable energy from the close-by Riffgat wind farm.\

The contract includes external 3-layer polypropylene coating and concrete weight coating that are applied at the same location as pipe manufacturing, and it covers approximately 16 km of 20" diameter and 20.6mm wall thickness High Frequency Welded (HFW) line pipe. The HFW pipes will be produced and delivered by Corinth's facility in Greece by 2023.

Additionally, the pipeline will receive certification in accordance with the ASME B31.12 Option B code for hydrogen pipelines, enabling future plans for the transportation of up to 100 percent hydrogen.

Corinth Pipeworks is a leading provider of premium steel pipes for the construction and energy industries on a global scale. The company's plant, which has a 1 million-ton annual production capacity, is situated in Thisvi, Viotia, Greece.
