Han Tai & Iron Works Co., Ltd. of Taiwan has hired Pomini Long Rolling Mills to upgrade its rolling mill.

The current rolling mill has sixteen RedRing stands without housing that were provided by Pomini Long Rolling Mills in the 1990s. Two final horizontal RedRing rolling stands from the same series will be added as part of this modernisation project. Han Tai will be able to roll 10-mm-diameter 2-slit mode bars from a 150-mm-square billet thanks to this.

Uploopers, rolling guides, hydraulic valve stands, and operational change components will be included in the supply, while the current fluid systems and roll change equipment will be reused.

Midway through 2023, hot commissioning of the modified mill is anticipated to begin.

Han Tai & Iron Works Co., Ltd., a leading producer of reinforcing bars in the area with an annual production capacity of over 400,000 tons, was founded in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, in 1960. Bars with a diameter of 10 to 35 mm that are produced in compliance with CNS and ASTM specifications are part of its product line.
