The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the preliminary results of its antidumping (AD) duty administrative review covering welded pipe imports from South Korea.

The review examined two major producers, Hyundai Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. and SeAH Steel Corporation, during the period under review.

According to the preliminary findings, the DOC determined that Hyundai Pipe sold products at less than normal value, resulting in a preliminary weighted-average dumping margin of 1.86%.

In contrast, SeAH Steel received a preliminary margin of 0.00%, indicating that the company did not sell the reviewed products below fair value during the review period.

The preliminary determination may affect future duty assessments and trade flows between South Korea and the United States, pending the release of the final review results.
