The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has released preliminary results of its countervailing duty (CVD) administrative review on imports of cut-to-length carbon-quality steel plate (CTL plate) from South Korea.

The review covers the period between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024.

The DOC preliminarily found that South Korean producers received countervailable subsidies and assigned the following subsidy rates:

  • Dongkuk Steel Mill Co., Ltd.: 1.89%
  • Hyundai Steel Company: 1.39%

In addition, the DOC partially rescinded the review for Daeik Eng Co., Ltd. and MAIKO International after review requests were withdrawn.
