Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has officially initiated a sunset review of the antidumping (AD) duties imposed on cold-rolled stainless steel products originating from Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and China. The original imposition of AD duties dates back to October 2014, with a subsequent five-year extension granted by the ministry in 2019.

The primary objective of this review is to evaluate the impact of the existing AD duties and determine whether they should be revoked or extended. While the domestic market has shown signs of recovery since the introduction of these duties in October 2014, the growth rate has displayed fluctuations, often plateauing or experiencing slight declines.

These products of concern are categorized under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7219.32.00, 7219.33.00, 7219.34.00, 7219.35.00, 7219.90.00, 7220.20.10, 7220.20.90, 7220.90.10, and 7220.90.90.
