Yongjin Technology Group Co., Ltd., a stainless steel producer based in China’s Zhejiang Province, has announced plans to invest RMB 2.658 billion (approximately $0.38 billion) in the construction of a short-process, green, high-quality stainless steel project with an annual capacity of 2 million tonnes.
The project will be developed in two phases.
In Phase I, the company will construct a 1,780 mm hot-rolled production line, along with a continuous annealing and pickling line and related auxiliary facilities. This phase is designed to produce 1.95 million tonnes of hot-rolled stainless steel coils per year.
In Phase II, Yongjin plans to build a stainless steel smelting workshop and supporting infrastructure, with an annual output of 2 million tonnes of qualified stainless steel semi-finished products.
The project aligns with China’s broader push toward low-carbon, energy-efficient steelmaking and reflects Yongjin’s strategy to expand capacity while improving environmental performance.
