The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has concluded its expiry review of antidumping (AD) duties on rebar imports from China, South Korea and Turkey, as well as the countervailing duty (CVD) on rebar from China, determining that lifting the measures would likely lead to the continuation or resumption of dumping or subsidization.

The current AD duty rates stand at 26.6% for China, 25.1% for South Korea, and 6.5% for Turkey, while the subsidy rate for Chinese rebar remains at 6.1%.

Following the CBSA’s findings, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) has launched an injury inquiry to assess whether ending the orders would harm the domestic industry. The CITT is expected to issue its final decision by June 17, 2026.

The products under review cover a wide range of HS tariff classifications, primarily within headings 7213, 7214, 7215, 7227 and 7228.
