INDIA'S STEEL CORPORATION WILL INCREASE ITS CAPACITY TO PRODUCE REBAR

In the next three years, India's Shyam Steel, a maker of rebar, stated it wants to increase its revenue to INR 9,000 crore (USD 1.12 bln).

In 2021–2022, the business had a 4,500 crore INR in revenue.

Keshav Beriwala, director of the Shyam Steel Group, informed reporters that the business will invest INR 1,500 crore to build a 0.35 million tons per year rebar facility in West Bengal. The company has already acquired 600 acres of land for the project from the state government.

Additionally, the business will increase the capacity of its current factory in Durgapur from 0.7 million tons per year to 1 million tons per year at the start of the upcoming fiscal year.

The Shyam Steel Group, an Indian maker of rebar that also produces sponge iron, billet, and rebar, was founded in 1953. In Durgapur, Mejia, Bamunara, and Howrah, the business has four integrated steel factories.
