Marcegaglia Raises Pipe Prices and Adds €20/t Surcharge Amid Rising Raw Material and Logistics Costs

Italian steelmaker Marcegaglia has updated its price list for carbon pipes, reflecting higher costs in logistics and raw materials, especially hot-dip galvanized coil.
The company introduced a €20/t surcharge for orders smaller than two six-meter pipe batches to improve efficiency. Additionally, the gap between hot-rolled and galvanized coil prices widened to €130–140/t from €120/t, influenced by elevated trade-defense measures and increasing demand for galvanized steel in Europe. Marcegaglia notes that these adjustments are necessary to offset rising fuel, labor, and tariff costs, and to maintain operational sustainability amid shifting regulatory pressures
