S. Korea to start AD probe on stainless steel from four countries

South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has announced that it will initiate an antidumping duty investigation on stainless steel from China, Indonesia, Taiwan and Vietnam, after a complaint filed by South Korean steelmaker POSCO Pohang Iron and Steel Co. (POSCO). The ministry will investigate the imports of flat rolled stainless steel from China, Indonesia, Taiwan and imports of cold rolled stainless steel from Vietnam.

The investigation will cover the period between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2023. In the event of an affirmative final decision, an antidumping duty of 7.17-25.82 percent on flat rolled stainless steel and 37.62 percent on cold rolled stainless steel would be imposed.
