South Africa’s International Trade Administration Commission (ITAC) has initiated an antidumping investigation into imports of color coated steel from China, following a complaint filed by domestic producers ArcelorMittal South Africa (AMSA) and SAFAL Steel Pty.

The applicants allege that the products have been dumped and caused material injury to the domestic industry. The investigation will cover the period from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025, while injury assessment will examine data from May 1, 2022, to April 30, 2025. The current estimated dumping margin stands at 51.0%.
