The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has issued its preliminary determination in the antidumping investigation into rebar imports from Algeria, covering the period from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
The DOC preliminarily concluded that rebar from Algeria is being sold, or is likely to be sold, in the US at less than fair value. The investigation found an estimated weighted-average dumping margin of 127.32% for Tosyali Iron Steel Industry Algeria SPA, which also applies to all other Algerian exporters.
The DOC stated that final results are expected within 120 days from the publication of the preliminary findings, which could lead to the imposition of definitive antidumping duties.
