Australia’s Antidumping Commission has released the final results of its administrative review of antidumping duties on rebar imports from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam, covering the period from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.

The commission concluded that rebar exported from Indonesia, Malaysia (excluding Southern Steel), Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam was sold at dumped prices and caused material injury to the Australian steel industry. It also confirmed that Pt Ispat Panca Putera of Indonesia did not export rebar to Australia during the review period.

Final dumping margins vary significantly by exporter and country, with Turkey’s “others” category reaching 38.4%, while margins for other exporters range from negative 0.1% to 26.2%. Vietnam’s exporter Vina Kyoei was assigned a dumping margin of 9.6%.

The affected products fall under customs codes 7214.20.00, 7228.30.10, 7228.30.90, and 7228.60.10.
