Fortescue Revenue Rises 9% in FY 2025-26 Despite 15% Drop in Net Profit

Australian iron ore miner Fortescue recorded US$16.97 billion in sales revenue for the financial year 2025-26 ended June 30, representing an increase of 9% year on year. However, the company’s net profit fell 15% to US$2.87 billion.

Fortescue’s EBITDA also increased 9% year on year to US$8.64 billion. Operationally, the miner produced 246 million wet metric tons of iron ore, up 3%, while shipments reached a record 201.3 million wmt, increasing 1% from the previous financial year.

For FY 2026-27, Fortescue expects iron ore shipments of 197-207 million mt, including 11-14 million mt from Iron Bridge. The company also continued its Pilbara Decarbonisation Program, installing more than 300,000 solar panels, completing 550 km of transmission lines and deploying 370 MWh of battery storage capacity.

Meanwhile, Fortescue’s Blacksmith Project mineral resources increased 153% year on year to 615 million mt, averaging 56.0% Fe, while a maiden probable ore reserve of 196 million mt at 58.0% Fe was reported.
