China’s Henan Jiyuan Iron & Steel has awarded Danieli a contract to supply a new four-strand continuous casting machine at its plant in Henan province.
The caster will feature an 18.5-meter radius and produce alloy steel round blooms ranging from 600 mm to 1,300 mm in diameter. The products will mainly serve the energy and marine industries.
Danieli will supply the caster’s core equipment, along with electrical and automation systems. The new machine is based on a two-strand caster delivered to the same facility in 2023, with two additional strands added to increase productivity.
The caster is scheduled to begin operations in 2027, supporting Henan Jiyuan’s expansion in high-quality alloy steel products.
