Tenaris has successfully completed the acquisition of Republic Tube LLC's pipe processing facility in Houston, Texas. This acquisition encompasses the entire property, including land, buildings, and equipment.
Situated on the northeast side of Houston, this plant introduces heat treatment and finishing lines, effectively enhancing Tenaris's existing operations in the southern region and expanding its capacity to cater to the domestic market. With approximately 400 employees currently working at the facility, this development signifies a significant stride for the company.
Luca Zanotti, President of Tenaris US, remarked, "We thoroughly evaluated various avenues for expanding and fortifying our industrial presence. We had already been utilizing Republic Tube to process a portion of our domestic production. By incorporating this facility into our network, we are optimizing our operational processes and efficiency, providing us with greater adaptability to meet the needs of our US clientele."
In the transition phase, Tenaris is committed to integrating the plant seamlessly and aligning its operations with the company's global industrial standards, with a strong emphasis on health, safety, environment, and overall process management.
It is worth noting that Tenaris remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering high-quality services at this newly acquired facility. Additionally, the company has recently announced the reopening of its Hickman North Campus in Arkansas, formerly known as the IPSCO Tubulars facility. This reopening will further bolster Tenaris's domestic operations, particularly in the realm of heat treatment processing.
