Spanish steel tube manufacturer Tubos Reunidos has secured a major contract to supply high-performance seamless steel pipes to India’s state-owned power equipment giant, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).
The agreement, valued at over €26 million, includes two separate orders of custom-diameter and thick-walled seamless pipes, which will be manufactured at Tubos Reunidos' Amurrio and Trápaga facilities.

The first shipment is already underway, with the second order set for delivery in the second half of 2025.

These specialized pipes are intended to support critical energy infrastructure projects in India.
The deal positions Tubos Reunidos as a strategic supplier in India’s rapidly expanding energy market, which is projected to add 80 GW of new energy capacity by 2030—a 30% increase over current levels, according to government plans.
This collaboration highlights Europe’s growing role in supporting India’s infrastructure modernization, while reinforcing Tubos Reunidos' reputation for delivering high-quality, technically advanced steel products to demanding global markets.
