Turkey’s Stainless Industrialists and Business Association (PASID) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Malaysia-based Bahru Stainless, aiming to diversify supply sources for the Turkish stainless steel industry.

The agreement establishes a non-exclusive, non-binding cooperation framework, positioning Malaysia as an alternative supplier of stainless steel raw materials. PASID will support Bahru Stainless with market access, promotion, and supply facilitation in Turkey.

PASID chairman Arslan Küçükemre said the partnership opens a new supply channel for Turkish companies. The agreement was signed during the Malaysian prime minister’s official visit to Turkey and aligns with a broader goal to double bilateral trade from $5 billion to $10 billion.
