Dana Steel, a steel coil and sheet re-rolling business located in the United Arab Emirates, and Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) have come to terms on the construction of Abu Dhabi's first cold rolling plant.
By providing a foundation for Dana Steel's first facility in the emirate, KEZAD Group is extending its support for the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy, which seeks to more than quadruple the emirate's manufacturing sector to a value of AED172 billion by 2031 through a number of revolutionary projects.

According to the conditions of the deal, Dana Steel will build a 50,000 square meter, 500,000 mt cold rolling complex with the potential to backward integrate the company's continuous galvanizing and continuous color coating facilities. Dana Steel currently has a 500,000 mt cold rolling capacity as well as 350,000 mt and 150,000 mt capabilities for coated HDG and PPGI, respectively.

As a consequence, Dana Steel will increase its capacity for production in the GCC and replace imported raw materials with new products created in the United Arab Emirates thanks to this new complex.
