US Keeps Trade Orders on Chinese OCTG After Sunset Review

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced final results of sunset reviews on antidumping and countervailing duty orders covering certain oil country tubular goods (OCTG) from China.

The DOC concluded that removing the orders would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury to US producers.

As a result:

  • Dumping margins remain as high as 99.14%
  • Subsidy rates range from 20.90% to 26.19% for certain producers
  • 23.82% subsidy rate applies to others

OCTG products are widely used in oil and gas drilling operations.

The decision maintains longstanding US trade protections on Chinese OCTG imports.
