ArcelorMittal South Africa (AMSA), a manufacturer of steel, has opened its facility for ArcelorMittal Rail and Structures (AMRAS), which it just bought.
The previous Highveld Structural Mill in Emalahleni was successfully acquired prior to this.
In addition to being sold to mining businesses, the factory already manufactures rail line items that are slated for export.
Since 2017, AMSA has localized around 80,000 tons of heavy structural sections annually while carrying out contract operations at the heavy structural mill.
