The US Department of Commerce has released the preliminary results of its antidumping (AD) investigation into imports of cut-to-length steel plate from South Korea, covering the period from February 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025.

The DOC preliminarily determined that the products were sold in the US at less than fair value, assigning weighted-average dumping margins of 1.18% for Dongkuk Steel Mill Co., Ltd. and 0.94% for Hyundai Steel Company.

The investigation covers a broad range of carbon-quality and alloy steel plate products classified under multiple HTSUS subheadings, including 7208, 7210, 7211, 7212, 7225 and 7226 series codes.

The final determination is expected within 120 days from the publication of the preliminary results, following further verification and stakeholder submissions.
