The US Department of Commerce has announced the final results of its administrative review of the countervailing duty (CVD) order on cut-to-length carbon-quality steel plate from South Korea, covering the period January 1 to December 31, 2023.

According to the DOC, South Korean exporters were found to have received countervailable subsidies during the review period. As a result, the department set final subsidy rates of 2.21% for Dongkuk Steel Mill and 1.31% for Hyundai Steel, confirming the preliminary findings issued earlier.

The final determination authorizes US Customs and Border Protection to assess duties at the revised rates on applicable entries of the subject merchandise.
