Sweden-based Stegra has signed a multi-year supply agreement with Thyssenkrupp Materials Services, a subsidiary of German steelmaker Thyssenkrupp, to secure deliveries of non-prime steel products across Europe.

Under the agreement, Thyssenkrupp Materials Services will supply non-prime steel products, including cut lengths, residual materials and non-conforming coils, to Stegra’s distribution hubs in key European markets over several years. The arrangement is designed to improve product availability and enhance supply chain efficiency in response to growing demand for flexible steel sourcing.

The deal strengthens the strategic partnership between the two companies, enabling Stegra to broaden its product portfolio while allowing Thyssenkrupp Materials Services to optimize inventory management and utilization of non-prime steel resources. Both companies noted that the agreement aligns with wider industry trends focused on supply chain agility and improved market responsiveness.

Executives from Stegra and Thyssenkrupp Materials Services said the long-term framework provides greater stability for planning and supports sustained growth in Europe’s competitive steel distribution market.
