Over the past 2 years, the Ukrainian industrial group Interpipe has mastered more than 200 new types of pipe products for European consumers, the company said in a press release.
“More than 200 new pipe products are the result of the work of Ukrainian engineers of Interpipe Industrial Company over the past 2 years in the European market, which has many niches and unique customer requests,” the company said.
By expanding its product portfolio, Interpipe has found new customers in areas such as micropiles, fittings and bends, and even mobile cranes.
One of the company’s major challenges was the development of pipes for the production of automobile axles. Research work on this project began back in 2023, when 14 pilot rolls were made.
“This year, Interpipe has already firmly established itself in a small circle of manufacturers of such products. We currently supply the two largest producers with pipes that, after being cut to length and shot blasted, are assembled into axles for truck trailers and semi-trailers, and we are also developing a specification for a third customer,” the company summarizes.
As reported earlier, in the first half of 2024, Interpipe increased its sales of tubular products by 35.4% compared to the same period in 2023, up to 264 thousand tons. The bulk of the pipes were shipped to Europe – 112 thousand tons (+37.4% yoy), and America – 38 thousand tons (+45.4% yoy). Pipe production for the period amounted to 258 thousand tons (+23.4% yoy).
